We’ve been here more than a year and it’s still strange to me, in a good way. Hell, we had an impromptu taco lunch not that long ago! I can’t think of the last time I ‘bumped into’ friends and went to a meal back in the States.

In the states if you wanted to “hang out” it was often planned literally a month in advance! Now I also have to ration my time because I’m still working and also get peopled out. But I love that you/I can run into someone in downtown and they can just join you for coffee right then! I love our expat community here to much!

Not only do I learn more about Braga and Portugal from reading this blog, but when contemplating such a large life change, it’s comforting to feel like you ‘know’ someone on the other side, even if only vaguely. Thank you for being welcoming and sharing your adventures with the rest of us!
